EquiForce Beta + contains beta-carotene (also called provitamin A), which is a precursor to vitamin A and is important in the reproductive cycle of mares, from whelping, ovulation, fertilization and maintenance of pregnancy. The natural substance occurs in large quantities in fresh grass, fresh hay and alfalfa.

EquiForce Beta +, in addition to a high level of beta-carotene, contains natural vitamin E (RRR alpha tocopherol) and chelated selenium (SelPlex®), which supports and enhances the effect of beta-carotene. SelPlex® has been shown in studies to improve the antibody content in milk, thereby increasing the resilience of newborn foals. Natural vitamin E (approximately 40% more effective than synthetic forms) also acts as a very powerful antioxidant, making it important for the immune system.

Pregnant mares should be supplemented during the last three months of pregnancy or until the new pregnancy is confirmed. Mares that are not currently pregnant should be supplemented 3-4 months prior to insemination and until pregnancy is confirmed. Stallions should be supplemented throughout the breeding season.
